kemeticproverb2-2

During the waning crescent moon phase, it is a great time to slow down, reflect and prepare for the new moon ahead.

April is one of the best months to look around your home and within your heart, and take inventory of everything you have accumulated over the past year. You may have picked up some nasty habits both internally or externally that you know no longer serve you, and have to make their way out. From clothes, makeup, books, and magazines to bad eating habits, negative thoughts, painful memories and more.

In this article, I take you through a healing ritual that actually works! This Spring Clean Your Heart Chakra Ritual, will allow you to dig up the muck, release it to the ancestors, and rid yourself of the burdens once and for all.

What You Will Need:

Paper/ Journal
• Permanent Marker (ie: Sharpie). I use black; you can use any color that aligns with your spirit
• An Envelope
• A clean candle
• Fire stick matches/ lighter

Step 1: Clear Your Space

Make sure you are in a clear space that is free from distractions. You want to have solitude and a clear mind, so that you can focus on your intentions. This is all about you cleansing and healing, so take as much time as you need to get through it.

Step 2: Use your permanent marker to write in your journal or on your sheet of paper, everything that you intend to rid yourself of.

For example:

  • I release the dead weight on my body to the Universe (or God, to my ancestors etc..)
  • I release negative thoughts about myself to the Universe
  • I release poverty, debt and lack from my vocabulary and my life to the Universe
  • I release this toxic relationship with (blank) to the Universe

Anything you want to rid your life of, lay it all out on the lines of the paper. Remember your handwriting is your unique print and personal communication medium to the Source. This is your Divine Right and Power!

Step 3: Use your fire stick matches or lighter to light your candle.

You can say “I bless this candle that is working for my divine good. I thank you for your services and light unto my healing. Thank you”.

Step 4: Fold your paper

Fold your paper into 3 quarters ( like a letter) and then fold it in half towards you. Place the paper into the envelope and seal it.
This step is important because you are sealing your burdens away and getting rid of them. It is a beautiful feeling.

Step 5: Burn Burn Burn!

Make sure you are in a safe room where you won’t cause harm or danger to yourself or anyone else. Place your envelope downward into to the flame. Let it burn slowly and thank your ancestors for taking the weight off of your hands. Smile, express gratitude and feel yourself becoming lighter by the second.

*If you have to be by a sink, toilet or safe place to put the burning envelope into something by all means do so. You want to be careful with the fire.

Step 6: Take a Spiritual Bath

You can use sage, incense, Florida water, or just your Divine imagination and cleanse your entire body. Imagine all of the toxins, negative attitudes, negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, past regrets, circumstances, body aches, or whatever it is, disappearing into thin air.

Step 7: Take a Cleansing Bath (Or Shower)

Lastly, you want to take a cleansing bath to relax your body and muscles knowing that the deed is done. If you do not have a bath tub, a shower works as well. This goal is to consider this step to be a celebration, you deserve it! Now you can have peace of mind, and completely forget about it. The deed is signed, sealed and delivered, and the magic is in the air.

Close your eyes, play your favorite soft music, and have a goodnight.
